Short single night trip to the Clark Peak Yurt in Colorado State Forest on the west side of the Medicine Bow Mountains.
The first day Taylor and I headed up The Cache La Poudre Canyon into a terribly thick heavy snow storm. We scratched around for some good skiing, and after a bit found some. Before the good skiing though, we found ourselves in a thick soupy cloud with barely any visibility. Snow was reasonably light, but the air was practically dripping wet. Definitely not comfortable, much less typical Colorado conditions.
Taylor and I finished our sloppy ski day on South Diamond Peak and made our way over Cameron Pass, reapplied our skis and carried a 12 pack and a bunch of Chili up to the hut. Here we are shortly after arrival.
Things got silly as the hut warmed up and food was administered.

After a steaming night in the yurt with good food and good booze, we managed to get a super late start in the morning. The sun finally came out and conditions were decent and generally really fun. Here's Taylor atop our first lap.
Taylor skiing the first lap.
Ryan and the rest caught up to us for the second lap. Above is Ryan!
Here's me before our third and last lap.
Ryan and I before Taylor and I had to split.
Sunday was relatively short as Taylor needed to get back to Denver to pick up Megan and Sally, Clark Peak will have to wait for another day...
